DMCA Policy

Last updated: October 2026

Y2Mate respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. This page explains our approach to copyright and how rights holders can contact us about content they believe is being used without permission.

Our Respect for Copyright

Y2Mate is a YouTube video downloader that processes links submitted by users. We do not host, upload, store, or distribute any video or audio files on our servers. Content that users reach through the service stays on third party platforms and belongs to its respective owners. We do not encourage or condone copyright infringement, and our terms require users to download only content they have the right to use.

How to File a Notice

If you believe that material reachable through Y2Mate infringes your copyright, you may send a written notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. Your notice should include your name and contact details, a description of the copyrighted work you say was infringed, the exact link or location of the material you want addressed, a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law, and a statement that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or are authorized to act for the owner, made under penalty of perjury. Please add your physical or electronic signature.

Where to Send Your Notice

Send DMCA notices through the form on our Contact Us page and choose the topic Copyright or DMCA notice. Please write in English where possible and include every item listed above so we can act without delay. Incomplete notices may take longer to process or may not be actionable. We review valid notices promptly and, where appropriate, we may disable access to the identified link. Because we do not host files, we may also point you to the platform that stores the content, since it can remove the material at its source.

Counter Notification

If you believe that material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter notification through the form on our Contact Us page, choosing the topic Copyright or DMCA notice. It should include your name, address, and contact details, a description of the material and where it appeared before it was removed, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith the removal was a mistake, a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the relevant courts, and your signature. We may forward the counter notification to the original complainant.

Repeat Infringers

Y2Mate may limit or block access for users who are repeatedly reported for infringing the rights of others, where we are able to identify such behavior. We reserve the right to restrict any link, source, or user activity that we reasonably believe violates copyright law or our Terms of Service. We take repeated reports seriously and review them on a case by case basis to keep the service fair for everyone.

Good Faith and Misrepresentation

Please be sure before you submit a notice. Under the DMCA, anyone who knowingly makes a material misrepresentation that content is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages, including costs and attorney fees. We encourage rights holders to consider fair use and other exceptions before sending a notice. Y2Mate acts in good faith and may share notices with affected parties as permitted by law.
